- Trauma, Grief, and Loss
As a queer-identified psychologist primarily serving the LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent community, my goal is to create a safer space for you to be fully yourself, and fully seen. Especially now. Because no one heals in hiding.
Grief is hard and complicated. I know. Trauma can be confusing, disorienting, and sneaky. And sometimes diving deep in a safer space can make a world of difference. Let’s do it together. I am currently accepting new clients who are seeking deeper, targeted work via extended sessions or therapy intensives. I especially love working with folks in relationships who are separated by distance and seeking more intensive support in working through a core issue, restoring and exploring trust, improving communication, or seeking to deepen their connection. I also have case-by-case availability for adult comprehensive neuroaffirming psychological evaluations, forensic evaluations, court-ordered evaluations, pre-surgical evaluations for rhinoplasty, and pre-film mental health evaluations for reality or competition show contestants. I also love offering therapy groups, especially supporting LGBTQIA+ folks, ADHDers, and those seeking support for grief and loss!

Therapy with me isn’t about perfection—it’s about showing up, being seen, and learning to feel more like you again, even if that “you” has been buried under a lot lately. Let’s figure it out together.
I believe in the unique healing capabilities and strengths in all people, and strive to hold a culturally humble, LGBTQIA+ celebratory, gender-affirming, and neuroaffirming space - now more than ever. We are all striving to live better lives, but sometimes things within or outside of our control get in our way. I am dedicated to helping you build upon your current strengths with new skills to navigate whatever obstacles you are currently facing.
I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can finally breathe. I work with kids, teens, and adults across North Carolina and Virginia who are navigating trauma, identity exploration, anxiety, grief, or just the heaviness of life. Whether you’re feeling stuck, exhausted, or unsure where to start—I’ll meet you with warmth, honesty, and zero judgment. Most of all, I offer a space that’s truly yours.
As a doctoral-level provider with specialty training in forensic evaluations at the state and federal level, I also offer comprehensive neuroaffirming evaluations, sex offender risk assessments, and other court-ordered and forensic evaluations.

I care a lot about helping people get ‘unstuck.’ Hurdles come from both the environment and within, and can be augmented by past experiences, current conundrums, and future worries. As a clinician who is intrigued by complexity and holds an unlimited amount of optimism, I enjoy working with folx who have insight for their situation and are at a ‘now what’ impasse.
I love supporting clients of diverse identities, backgrounds, and concerns, including complex trauma, depression, anxiety, interpersonal difficulties, and identity exploration in its many forms. I especially love working with folx who are hoping to process experiences in a new light, want to learn to fully value and honor their emotions, and struggle with self-compassion. I am also pleased to offer letters of support for gender affirming care, adult neuroaffirming psychological evaluations, and forensic evaluations on a case-by-case basis.

Every client I work with is uniquely awesome, including you, and I believe our therapy work together should reflect that. My role is to meet you where you are, listen to where you want to be, and walk alongside you as you move toward those goals. One of my favorite parts of being a therapist is watching clients begin to feel better – whether that means practicing new coping skills, setting healthy boundaries, communicating more effectively, or recognizing their own worth and believing in their value.
My hope is that every client feels safe to show up authentically in our sessions, knowing they have a space that is just for them. I bring particular experience in ADHD coaching and supporting ADHDers in recognizing that what may feel like a challenge can also be a strength. Although real challenges exist, ADHDers also have amazing strengths that deserve a seat at the table, as well! Let’s work together and create a plan that honors your neurotype!
In addition to individual therapy, I also enjoy working with couples and families, especially when communication and connection feel difficult. I also enjoy working alongside folks and families who may be working through a big transition and are in need of a space to further process. Together, we’ll work on finding ways to strengthen your relationship, while also honoring the needs of each person.
