At Be BOLD Psychology and Consulting, we offer inclusive, trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ celebratory mental health support before, during, and after pregnancy. We center the experiences of queer, trans, nonbinary, neurodivergent, and BIPOC families, offering care that’s inclusive, culturally humble, and grounded in clinical expertise.
We recognize that perinatal mental health is about more than just postpartum—it includes everything from infertility grief, pregnancy-related anxiety, birth trauma, and mood changes, to relationship strain and identity shifts.

Therapy for Couples and Non-Birthing Parents in the Perinatal Period
Parenthood doesn’t just change the individual—it transforms families and relationships.
We offer relationship support and couples therapy during the perinatal period for both birthing and non-birthing partners. This can include:
- Emotional support for non-birthing partners, who may also experience anxiety, trauma, or grief that goes unseen
- Navigating resentment, disconnection, or conflict as new roles and routines emerge
- Adjusting to identity shifts as partners become co-parents
- Managing intimacy changes, communication breakdowns, and unmet expectations
- Support for queer, trans, and polyamorous families navigating parenthood in a cisheteronormative world
- Healing after medical trauma, high-risk pregnancies, or loss
- Building a co-parenting plan that reflects your values, needs, and unique neurotypes
This is not just support for the birthing parent. It’s care for the entire family system—partners, chosen family, and caregivers included.
Therapy That Grows With You: The Stages of Postpartum Recovery
We know that recovery doesn’t happen all at once—and that’s okay.
Our perinatal therapy services help normalize the emotional “slumps” and identity shifts that can emerge across the stages of postpartum recovery. Whether you’re navigating day 3 teariness and weariness, 6-week exhaustion, or 6-month burnout—we’re here to support you with compassion, education, and tools to help you feel more grounded.
Together, we’ll set realistic expectations, honor your process, and hold hope for healing.
