I wholeheartedly believe that we are all worthy, capable, and deserving of a fulfilling, loving, and “joy-full” life. Maybe you find yourself feeling “stuck in the past” and wanting to work through previous experiences. Maybe you’re exhausted from feeling like you can’t be yourself and are yearning for a more authentic life. Maybe you’re tired of being tired and are dreaming of better days full of health and wellness. Regardless of what wellness looks like for you, healing and growing is a journey..but you don’t have to go at it alone. I am passionate about helping you along the way- whether you’re just starting to think about change or you’ve been contemplating it for a while. As my favorite podcaster Dr. Thema says, “It’s time to come back home to yourself”. Through the ups and downs that may come on this journey, I will be right beside you providing a safe, inclusive, and affirming space. You can breathe easy knowing you will be heard, seen, and respected for your whole self.

My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, resiliency-focused, and social-justice oriented. I know we all come from unique backgrounds, histories, and influences. That’s why I tailor each session to YOUR unique needs, history, and preferences. I also consider the various systemic and oppressive societal conditions that can negatively impact your mental health and well-being. In sessions, I use a combination of therapeutic modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, narrative therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. Whether you’re returning to therapy or trying it for the first time, welcome! I am so glad you are here and I would be honored to help you “come back home to yourself”

A little more about who I love to work with:

My sessions are trauma-informed, resiliency-focused, and social-justice oriented. I provide affirming and strengths-based individual and group therapy to individuals, couples, and families. I enjoy working with clients from diverse backgrounds, but especially women and young adults.

My big three therapeutic focus areas include:

  • Self-Compassion: Do you find yourself giving grace, patience, understanding, and forgiveness to everyone around you but yourself? Do you find yourself struggling to accept your mistakes or being harsh with yourself? Self-compassion may help! I am passionate about helping you provide the same love, care, and compassion that you give to others, to your yourself. It may feel unfamiliar and maybe even a little awkward at first, but you are so worthy and deserving of that same kindness and care.
  • Identity-Based Traumatic Stress: Are you tired of being asked “What are you?” Do you find yourself constantly being othered or left out? Do you feel like you have to walk on eggshells or switch your personality around others? You may be experiencing identity-based traumatic stress. In our sessions, we can unpack how your identity has impacted your experiences both currently and in the past.
  • Life Transitions: Adjusting to change and leaving behind the familiar can be a scary process. Maybe you’re exploring a new career or questioning your identity? Maybe you’re approaching a major lifestyle change or going through a breakup? Whether positive or negative, major life transitions can really take a toll on your sense of stability and safety. In our sessions, we can work together to process this new “normal” for you. There is plenty of space for all emotions- including grief for what you are leaving behind and joy for what may come.
